Avenged Sevenfold Drummer Found Dead – in Metal News ( Metal Underground.com ).
James Sullivan, the drummer for Orange County, California based rock band Avenged Sevenfold and better known to his fans as “The Rev,” was found dead in his home yesterday (December 28th.) A local examination claims that he passed away from natural causes. His bandmates from Avenged Sevenfold has posted the following message online:
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

RICH TAUGHT ME 3/4 OF WHAT I KNOW ABOUT MUSIC. HERE HE IS PLAYING THE BASS THE KIDS AND I GOT HIM FOR XMAS LAST YEAR.SEEMS WEIRD I WOULD BUY MY EXHUSBAND A BASS? WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHY I DID. IN 1997, WE WERE NEWLYWEDS WITH A 2 YR OLD AND 9 MONTH OLD AND LIVEING WITH MY PARENTS. RICH SOLD HIS BASS(HE’D HAD SINCE HIGHSCHOOL) AND HIS HALF-STACK AMP, (HIS MOST LOVED THINGS HE OWNED), AND HE SOLD IT, SO WE COULD COME UP WITH 1ST MONTHS RENT FOR A PLACE FOR OUR FAMILY TO LIVE. SO LAST YEAR WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE TO GET THIS BASS GUITAR, I JUMPED ON IT, CAUSE I AM GRATEFUL FOR WHAT HE SACRIFICED FOR US BACK THEN. I WANTED TO GIVE HIM HIS "MUSIC" BACK, AND I KNEW THE MORE HE PLAYE’D, THE MORE MY SON JACOB WOULD PLAY.

“After much speculation, Sonisphere Festival has confirmed the Big Four (Anthrax, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth) will finally play live again! The Big Four that popularized the thrash metal movement in the 80’s have never been on the same stage at once, but now the bands will have the chance to finally do so in 2010.
Originally, just a huge rumor, it has finally been confirmed. After Dave Mustaine angered Metallica and Anthrax, hopes for a Big Four concert were not looking promising. However, Sonisphere Festival has just announced that on June 16th 2010, these thrash metal giants will be sharing the stage for the first time at the Bemowo Airport in Poland. It has also been updated that the Big Four bands will also make a second appearance in the Czech Republic, with more Sonisphere shows featuring the combo to be announced in the coming days and weeks.
“Who would have thought that more than 25 years after its inception, thrash metal’s big 4 would not only still be around and more popular than ever, but will now play together for the first time…what a mindfuck! Bring it on!” says Lars Ulrich, the Drummer of Metallica. “It’s about fucking time this happened. And it’s about time the fans finally what they want. This is fucking awesome,” says Kerry King of Slayer.
ANTHRAX guitarist SCOTT IAN agrees, commenting on the enormity of the announcement:
“People have been talking about these four bands playing together since 1984. That’s twenty-six years of expectation!!! And the thing is, I believe not only will we live up to the expectations, we will shatter them!! No other four bands as influential as the four of us have ever done this. Imagine if The Beatles, Stones, The Who and Zeppelin had done shows? Or Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Motorhead? Well, I may be getting into some rarified air here but as a fan, that’s how big I feel this is.”
The Big Four’s appearance is only exclusive to Europe it seems for now. Stay tune for hopes of an appearance in America.”

hey mudvayne fans! i personally cant wait till this album is out! i have been a fan of this band since the begining, and have yet to get too see them in concert. one of the best things about mudvayne is they never release an album similar to before. they change it up,flip-the-script,and give the fans something new every time…one of the resons i like them so much!hopefully when i get out of jail in may, somebody will have gotten me a copy for xmas and i will be able to go home and listen too it!

I HAVE HAD A BATTLE WITH OVERCOMEING SOME SERIOUS DRUG ADDICTIONS, I’VE HAD TO BATTLE WITH OVERCOMING ISSUSES WITHIN MY SELF AND THE PEOPLE I SURROUNDED MYSELF WITH, IVE HAD SOME SERIOUS ISSUES INVOVLEING LOVE/HATE WITH MEN IN MY LIFE…AND ALL THESE THINGS I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY GET A GRIP ON, HATEBREED’S SONGS LIKE: “PERSERVERENCE”, HAS KEPT ME GOING AND MOVE’N FWD. INSTED OF GIVIENG UP ON MYSELF..WHEN THE REST OF THE WORLD HAD GIVEN UP ON ME ALREADY.
JAMEY JASTA IS A HERO OF MINE BECAUSE HE IS INTOUCH WITH HIS FANS AND ALWAYS SEEMS TOO BE MOVEING FWD. IN LIFE…. HE SEEMS TO ME TO BE A “LEADER BY EXAMPLE”. I ADMIRE HIM GREATLY, AS A ARTIST, BUISSNESSMAN, AND AS A HUMAN BEING.

hey, its me today is my first day on wordpress.com.
I believe I’m going to do this blog, like i do my MySpace blog , and devote this to my music and poetry.
ever since i was a teenager and i seen LITA FORD singing with OZZY on Mtv, i wanted to be on stage and sing my thoughts to the world. I’ve always been a “writer” and have kept journals,and books of poetry and song lyrics, I’ve wrote ever since i was 13.
recently thru the last ten years, there have been sum metal bands like KITTIE & OTEP who have kept my dream alive, a little. but when i heard MARIA from IN THIS MOMENT sing for the first time- i was inspired to pursue this dream a little harder…before I’m 40!!

HEY IM KIMMY aka- "METALMAGGOT"! im a metal head since i was 13! my kids, my friends and most of my interets revolve around metal-music, live music, and photography.
This blog is my way of supportting the local music scene here in northern IN.,supporting MY FAV. METAL MUSIC I LISTEN TOO; as well as GETTING TO SHOW OFF my music lyrics and "band photography".
I've always been a "writer" of sorts..thru journals, letters and music lyrics/poetry....so discovering the whole "BLOGGING" thing was a way for me to get my voice heard. getting my ideasw heard by the world. not to mention the fact..that the last year ive had too much time on my hands and needed to fill it with positive things that made me happy...such as music and photography.
